Twelve Tags of 2013 - August

Time for another tag for the Tim Holtz Twelve Tags of 2013 Challenge. The months are surely racing by! this month's tag required us to use a masking technique and as usual, was a lot of fun to do. I've stuck pretty closely to Tim's tag which you can see here, but I've used Tim's Statue of Liberty stamp because quite frankly, I just love to have an opportunity to use it as it's one of my favourites.

I was pretty impressed with how well the Distress Marker stamping worked out as I've not tried this before. Hard to think that a little 'huffing' can activate the ink so well. here's a close up
So, only a few more days and no doubt Tim will be posting up a tag for September. I'm pretty envious of  my blog friends who have tickets to see him in the UK this week. Lucky ladies! Treat him nice and perhaps he'll come again. Hope you all have a fantastic time! x

  1. Love the colours on your version Toni, and that ticket at the top is a stamping triumph. I promise to do my best to persuade Tim that he needs to come back to the UK more often as there are so many that missed out this time. Hugs, Jenny x

  2. Hi Toni, no consolation but I am sad to have missed out too. If anyone can persuade him to come back it is Jenny, above! Your tag is fabulous, your masking is excellent and I love that statue stamp, one I don't have as yet.

Glad you enjoyed the Fringe Festival, you are so right, Edinburgh is a wonderful city. Hugs, Anne x

  3. I really loved the Statue of Liberty and map part. Whenever I hear the word "huffing" I always giggle because I get this funny image in my head of the 3 little piggies and a drugged up glue-huffing Big bad wolf trying huff and puff and blow their house down but not quite making it - I know....the things that go on in my mind are a little weird!

  6. Yum - such fantastic colours for your vintage map look here, and the masked images pop brilliantly. Amazing background stamping too - this is definitely one of my favourite takes of the August tags that I've seen.
