WOYWW #190 Brrrrrrrr!

There's nothing we Brits' like better than to talk about the weather and boy, we've had a lot to talk about this week ! The first real snow we've had this year, has brought about the usual chaos. On the plus side, I've had an extra afternoon of crafty pursuits, the downside is that my crafty attic is very cold so I've been wearing umpteen layers of woollies, but the hands still get cold after a while. So what's this post about? it's Wednesday, so that means it's time for another What's on Your Wordesk Wednesday post. Go and have a look at Julia's Stamping Ground Blog and find out how you too, can show the world your crafty workspace. Believe it or not my work table is pretty tidy, I was forced to tidy up after I lost one of a pair of little chipboard wings I had been working on. I spent ages looking for it and of course, found it after I had used another one. So what else has been going on? I've made a few more blending tools to use with the Seasonal Distress Inks from last year. That's my growing collection  in the red tray, they are actually wooden drawer knobs with circles of Cut and Dry foam stuck to them.. I've also been really enjoying making some more paper flowers, I showed a couple last week but these are slightly different. I'm recruiting my son to help photograph a step by step, which hopefully I will post soon. Oh and there's my pink ATG, which you can blame Julia for, she said in her last WOYWW that they were on special offer on the Scotch website, I just had to.... well didn't I ? x

  1. Yes, you did have to, its the LAW for a crafter to take advantage of the bargain! No really, hope you're happy with it, really it was such a bargain! Love the photo of your desk, as if to underline your attic location, the view towards the garrett style window! My you seem to have a lot of space. ANd i totally get the thing about the chipboard wings, happens here alot, usually tweezers. Arent the flowers pretty, will be interested in your step by step..i tend to just make the ones that i have a die for and i suspect that everyone is sick of the sight of them!

  2. Morning Toni - I love your ink blending tools - what a great idea and keeping them in the tray makes them so accessible and put away-able too! Gorgeous flowers. The look like vintage carnations. I was thinking about getting the ATG gun too - Julia is such an enabler!!! ;-) Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 42

  3. We ummed and ahhed over the pink ATG but we thought it would be heavy for our paws so didn't buy in the end. Your desk looks massive from this angle.

Love the bears @#91 this week.

  7. Oooh I am looking forward to your step-by-step now, I am quite addicted to making flowers...... Love the way you made your ink blending tools and look how much you saved by doing it - they are around £5 each now so I think you were definitely right to get your ATG thingy...... 8. Great looking desk and I am loving the drawer knobs. I think I will go by the hardware store and get some for the blocks I use. Julia is right about the crafters alerts. I love my ATG and use it a lot. Warning don't buy a lot of extra stock of tape and store it up cause it gets sticky and doesn't run right. Thanks for stopping by my desk! Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #35

  10. I'm with Anne - you've saved yourself a fortune by making those flowers so it would be silly not to invest a little of it! Great idea with the door knobs too. Happy WOYWW, hugs Jenny #150

  13. But an ATG is not a luxury item, it is an absolute necessity!! ;) Love the flowers, the colours are so delicate. My eyes were immediatley drawn to the red box and the blending tools... think you have enough of them? LOL Annette #18
